Broiler production
Spoormans manages several links of the chicken production chain, among others brooding, rearing, breeding, hatching-egg production, broiler production and slaughtering. Broiler feeds are manufactured within the Spoormans Group. Thus, Spoormans is able to guarantee full traceability, food safety, environmental concern and animal welfare. The Spoormans production integration is Belplume-certified (poultry integrated chain monitoring label).
Contract breeding (pigs and poultry)
Within the framework of contract breeding, AVEVE maintains permanent relationships with Covavee for the marketing of fattening pigs. Poultry contract breeding allows breeders to market their broilers through AVEVE Animal nutrition.
Enzyme premixes and antimicrobial oils
Enzyme premixes optimize the digestion process of piglets and chicken so improving their health and the yield as well. As far as new developments are concerned, AVEVE focuses on antimicrobial oils for animal feed.
AVEVE Biochem develops, produces and sells biochemical specialties for feed manufacturers, a niche market but one with a global size.
Horse nutrition is the a speciality of AVEVE. Professional horse breeders as well as manège managers, competition riders or plain horse lovers find the optimum feeds for their horses at AVEVE's.
AVEVE also has an extended range of feeds and feed supplements for the breeding of sheep, rabbits and poultry. Plain fodder and various specialties are also available at AVEVE's.
Livestock and poultry nutrition
With AVEVE, cattle and pig breeders have a full range of AVEVE-manufactured feeds and supplies. This is also the case with poultry breeders.
AVEVE Animal Nutrition operates in Flanders and in the neigbouring areas.
AVEVE feeds are manufactured in two plants, in Merksem and Aalter, in full compliance with the acknowledged quality assurance principles and international standards.
Besides AVEVE's extended range of quality products, customers of AVEVE Animal nutrition can rely on expert advice and custom service.
The southern part of Belgium (Wallonia) and Northern France are supplied respectively by Wal.Agri and Sabé.
Manure processing
AVEVE helps farmers to cope with the manure problem. AVEVE operates its own biological processing plant in Passendale (West Flanders) and a mobile fraction separator. Compofert operates the greatest tunnel composting plant of Flanders.
On-line Tracing & Tracking
As far as food safety is concerned, IT Omni has launched FoodWorld, a joint initiative with Belgacom (Belgium's major telecom operator) to set up a secure multicompany on-line tracing & tracking communication platform for all businesses in the food sector in Belgium.
Besides traceability solutions, such as Tracy which was developed for Certus (a major quality label for Belgian pork), IT Omni provides IT solutions and advice in the fields of i-Business, Retail & Trade and Feed & Food to businesses in the Benelux.
